Privacy Policy for DokanJi

DokanJi ("we", "us", or "our") is a business accounting and management application developed by Advocate Mosiur Rahman.

This Privacy Policy explains how DokanJi collects, uses, stores, protects, synchronizes, and deletes information when you use the application.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on the features you use, DokanJi may collect and store:

• Name, email address, mobile/phone number and user ID.
• Business or organization name.
• Customer, supplier and party information.
• Product/item, sales, purchase, invoice, expense, stock and accounting information.
• Chat messages and related communication information.
• Premium membership package, status, transaction ID, payment-related information provided by the user, and membership activation/expiry information.

DokanJi does not directly collect or store your banking PIN, password, or other confidential payment credentials.

2. How We Use Information

• Create and manage user accounts.
• Authenticate users.
• Provide accounting, sales, purchase, inventory and reporting features.
• Store and synchronize user data across devices.
• Provide backup and restore functionality.
• Provide customer/supplier management and chat features.
• Process Premium membership requests and manage membership status.
• Provide support, maintain security and improve the application.

3. Firebase Services

DokanJi uses Google Firebase services, including Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore and Firebase Realtime Database, to support authentication, cloud storage, synchronization and real-time functionality.

4. Data Synchronization

DokanJi may store business data locally on your device and synchronize changes with cloud services when you are signed in. The same account may access synchronized information from multiple devices.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent users' personal information. Information may be processed by service providers such as Google Firebase where necessary to provide application services. Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law, legal process, fraud prevention or security requirements.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. However, no electronic storage or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

7. User-Entered Business Data

Users are responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary authority and lawful basis to enter and manage information belonging to customers, suppliers, employees or other persons.

8. Backup

DokanJi may provide manual backup and restore functionality. Users are responsible for keeping their backup files and backup credentials secure.

9. Data Retention

We retain account and associated information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide requested services and maintain the application. Certain information may be retained where required for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal compliance, accounting, or other lawful obligations.

10. Account and Data Deletion

DokanJi provides an in-app option to request permanent deletion of the user's account and associated data.

When a user confirms account deletion, the application is designed to delete the user's Firebase Authentication account and associated user data from supported cloud databases, including applicable Firestore and Firebase Realtime Database records. The application also removes the user's local application database and local synchronization state.

Deletion may include account information, business/accounting data, customer and party data, product/item data, sales and purchase records, reports, chat data, and pending Premium-related user records associated with the account.

Users should create any necessary backup before confirming deletion because deletion is intended to be permanent and may not be reversible.

Some information may be retained where required for legitimate legal, security, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, regulatory, or other lawful purposes. Any retained information will be limited to what is reasonably necessary.

11. Children's Privacy

DokanJi is a general-purpose business accounting application and is not directed toward children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.

12. Third-Party Services

The application may use third-party services necessary for its operation, including Google Firebase services. Third-party services may process information according to their own privacy policies and applicable terms.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the application, services, legal requirements or data practices. The updated policy will be published at the applicable Privacy Policy URL.
